When you speak with your travel agent, you can be sure that he or she will do everything in their power to get the best ride at the lowest price. But you do to ensure that you and your agent are on the right side.

To avoid confusion, always make sure to tell your agent exactly where you want to go (they can help you come to a decision, but when you come to this decision, make clear). Make it clear how much you're willing to spend, what type of housing you're looking for, what kind of a turn it is, be it personal, professional, or even romantic. Remember that your travel is not just a travel agency but a travel expert. By talking with hundreds of travelers day in and day out, often travel to have a unique perspective on traveling. For example, a travel brochure never tell you if the beaches tend to get very crowded during the summer … but … a disgruntled travelers will surely!

With that in mind, there are some questions you should ask your travel agent to make sure that you and your agent are on the same page. Although you have made you clear that you want to make sure that your agent understands you.

Regarding Location

This is one of the main areas to ask some questions, for obvious reasons. You will probably be spending a few days at your destination, so you want to be sure you know what you get yourself! Ask specific questions about the experiences of other clients – while most drugs will not "volunteer" negative information, under direct questioning they may be able to warn you away from some of those destinations that look great in the TV ads, but happen to kind of terrible for vacations.

Not assume that your travel agent will inform you of the necessary visa, passport and health requirements for international travel. Be sure to ask about application forms or assistance you need. Before the airport environment, ask for an update on all travel advice, which may have just been issued.

About Crowds

You should ask your travel agent on the crowds you can expect from your destination. Your travel agent will be honest, simply because it is not a great thing for them to switch to a different destination, and they risk losing your business if they are dishonest. Just ask what the crowd is just around the time of year you arrive. If the crowd does not really bother you, do not worry about it. But if you and your spouse are taking a second honeymoon for example, will you probably want a little peace and quiet.

Flight Accommodations

Any flight your travel agent, you will be at a nice discount. That is what travel agents do, anyway, and if they did, they would not be in business for very long! But what you are the best of the best deals. Your agent should give you plenty of opportunities, whether you fly first class, coach or business class.

Advised that you get more opportunities earlier you book. If you can start planning months in advance that there would be great. Actually do not feel stupid if you decide to start To plan your vacation practically a year in advance!

About Options

If your travel agent only shows you a very small number of possibilities, it could be a couple reasons: first and most common is that these are simply the best for your needs, as your agent can tell. For Secondly, they could try to lean towards something more expensive for a larger commission.

This second possibility is unlikely, but it happens. If you feel you can not see the whole picture, ask to take a look at some other options. If your agent will not budge, you may be better served by taking your business elsewhere. An honest travel agent will give you the opportunity to fly to almost anywhere you want to go (well, unless they specialize in one part of the world).

What's included

Find out what, if any, food and beverages are included. Even if you do not select an all-inclusive resort, a mass of top quality hotels have concierge floors with free food and drinks all or part of the day. It may be worth the extra money to the concierge floor to save on breakfast, lunch and snacks daily. If you purchase a package, be sure to find out exactly what is included and not included in the package you choose. Some trips just includes breakfast and lunch but not dinner. You do not want any surprises when you arrive.

Be sure to ask about your specific resort's policies on recreational activities like golf, sailing, diving and spa services. You do not want to assume that just because the brochure are all talking about these activities, you can just pop up when you feel like it. Most resorts require advance reservations for high demand activities such as scuba diving and massage therapy.
